Working title films have promoted a range of home grown talent such as Hugh Grant, Bill Nighy, Rowan Atkinson, Martin Freeman, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightly, Colin Firth, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
In 2004 Working Title Films made a profit of £17.8 million. As of 2007, all its films distributed by Universal Pictures, which owns a 67% stake in the company, and many of its recent films, are co-productions with Studio Canal. Richard Curtis is a screenwriter that works with Workinf title who produced such classics as the Brigdet Jones Diaries, Notting Hill and Love Actually. He has used romantic comedy in most his films and has shown it in showcases around the UK, which he is recognised for. He also founded Comic Relief in 1985.
